Before your appointment

A few things to know before you come in

Following these guidelines ensures the most accurate scan possible.

24 hours before

No sunbathing, tanning beds, or UV exposure

No physical therapy, massage, or chiropractic treatment

No liniments, analgesic creams, or pain patches

Day of your scan

No lotions, creams, deodorant, or makeup on areas being scanned

Avoid exercise for at least 4 hours before your scan

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that is easy to remove

Good to know

Arrive a few minutes early — you’ll need time to acclimate to the room temperature

The room is kept at 68–72°F — bring a light layer if you run cold
